Communications and Marketing Manager (Part Time 0.6 FTE)

About the role:

We are seeking an experienced and committed part time (3 days per week) Communications and Marketing Manager to contribute to the growth of the organisation.

As our Communications and Marketing Manager, you will manage internal and external communications to encourage acquisition and retention of donors, partners, volunteers and other third parties. You enjoy working across multiple platforms and managing volunteers to achieve results and share our social impact. You will also be responsible for content production across various channels, marketing materials, newsletters and annual fundraising appeals with the aim of growing our database and increasing revenue. The role will work very closely with the COO, volunteers and other members of the JGIA team.

Non-Executive Board Director

JGIA is seeking committed, skilled and passionate individuals to join Dr Goodall and its Board of Directors in Australia. This is an opportunity to make a difference. 

Board members are non- executive directors of the Jane Goodall Institute Australia and will have a legal and ethical responsibility to ensure that the organization does the best work possible in pursuit of its goals.  This also includes providing time, energy, expertise and insight to committee work and fundraising.

About the Role

Candidates for appointment must demonstrate that they possess qualifications or extensive experience in a field related to the JGIA’s functions and which will benefit the JGIA. These include:

- Expertise in governance and one or more of the targeted areas of information technology, fundraising, education and community advocacy
- Superior analytical and communication skills and the ability to provide advice, negotiate and consult.

Roots & Shoots Area Supervisor (Voluntary)

Jane Goodall’s Roots & Shoots (R&S) is a program that empowers young people and equips them with the tools, motivation and support they need to address the problems that matter to them most. We are looking to create an ever-expanding network of Australians who are inspired to take action as change-making global citizens. For more information on Roots & Shoots click here.

About the Role

We are seeking passionate volunteers to join our R&S team to help drive the growth of R&S.

The Area Supervisor will reside and operate in the designated country areas as part of the state team and under the guidance of the State Coordinator. The role will be to establish, monitor and assist Roots & Shoots groups in the designated area.

We are looking for help in the following locations

NSW  Newcastle and Dubbo
VIC   Bendigo and Gippsland
WA  Karratha and Kalgoorlie

Specifically, responsibilites will include:

  • Be willing to commit up to 10 hours a month to the program
  • Actively promote Roots & Shoots to schools and groups that may be interested in Roots & Shoots
  • Have some experience in working with youth in the 6 to 20 age group
  • Be able to build a small team of volunteers to assist in managing the program
  • Be comfortable in preparing and delivering visual presentations to various age groups
  • Respond to emails within 48 hours
  • Have current police and working with children clearances
  • Be available for monthly Zoom of Skype hookups with the State Coordinator
