January Newsletter 2014

1. Jane’s Australian Tour

2. 2014 Membership

Now is the time to renew your JGI Australia membership, or join as a 2014 member. As a member, you are helping us to create solutionaries for a humane, peaceful and sustainable world.  You will also have the first opportunity to book seats at Jane’s Goodall’s live shows, to be hosted by one of Australia’s favourite journalists. To join, please click here.

 3. Zoe Weil’s Australian Tour

Internationally acclaimed TED speaker and founder of the Institute of Humane Education, Zoe Weil, will be visiting Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra and Brisbane in February.

Don’t miss this opportunity to discover a simple key to creating a better world for all. Zoe Weil’s message is important for parents, educators, students, government and industries- everyone who cares about the future.  Please click here for further information, or email Ricky at producer@sentientwe.com .

4. Solutionaries

Solutionaries are young leaders who are helping to solve problems affecting animals, people and the environment. If you’re a solutionary, please let us know what project you’re doing, or plan to do, so we can promote your great solutionary work throughout the year.  Email Sophie about your project. solutionary@janegoodall.org.au

If you’d like to find out how to become a solutionary, or start a group, please click here.

5. Another JGI Uganda Tour for 2014

The June 2014 eco-tour booked out very quickly and due to high demand, RAW Africa has organised a second tour for 2014 for September.  If close encounters with wild African animals and community-centred conservation interests you, find out more by downloading this brochure. Please contact Brooke Squires for further information.

 6. Wildlife in my Backyard Project

The first group has finished the pilot project! Congratulations to the students and teacher Amber McCook of the Belair Primary school, NSW! Wildlife in my Backyard Pilot Project began last year to encourage young students from different cultural backgrounds to become behaviour scientists, like Jane Goodall, in their very own backyard. We now look forward to the remaining groups that signed up to follow. The pilot project will help to refine the material for the Jane Goodall’s ‘Partnership in Understanding’ program. To enquire, please email Tanja Straker.
