Dr Jane Goodall DBE, world-renowned scientist, humanitarian, conservationist and UN Messenger of Peace is coming back to Australia in 2017. From the moment she set foot in Gombe Stream National Park at age 26, to her groundbreaking discoveries of chimpanzees as incredible, intelligent beings capable of using tools, language and a range of emotions, Dr Goodall’s story is one of “the woman who redefined man”.

“Every individual matters. Every individual has a role to play.
Every individual makes a difference.”

Dr. Goodall left the forest to found the Jane Goodall Institute in 1977. Today we are a global conservation organisation that advances the vision and legacy of Dr. Jane Goodall through highlighting the interconnectedness of Animals, People and the Environment (APE).

At the Jane Goodall Institute Australia (JGIA), we inspire actions that connect people with animals and our shared environment. By protecting chimpanzees and empowering the next generation, through out Roots & Shoots program, to be socially and environmentally conscious citizens, we improve the lives of APE.

Join JGIA in welcoming Dr Jane Goodall to Australia and share in her stories of inspiration and hope. Subscribe to our newsletter and follow us on social media to find out more about events that we will be hosting across the country.
