Since Dr Jane Goodall left Australia, she has been busy travelling the world and spreading the word.

She left Australia late to mid October and endeavored to finish her 'Hope for Nature' book. But travelling soon after saw her visit India, etc until December 24 where she landed back in England to celebrate Christmas with her family.

The new year saw Dr Jane become patron of the United Nations initiative year of the Gorilla and more travelling - this time to Uganda, Nepal..... and at present is on her 3 month spring tour of North America.

On a more local note, the Jane Goodall Institute celebrated one of it's own, Australian Debby Cox receiving the order of Australia for the work that she has done with the Jane Goodall Institute Africa Programs in protecting, preserving and caring for wild and rescued chimpanzees.

TYear of the Gorillahe Jane Goodall Institute Australia is busy with YoG events esuring that we raise awareness about the plight of another Great Ape but also raising funds for community centred conservation project in the Congo to protect gorillas and many other endangered animals.
