Jane Goodall Institute of Australia

A Roots and Shoots project:

  • ........Is not an extra task.
  • It works best when it is an integral part of the School curriculum.
  • It is an important and effective way to encourage team work, discussions, group presentations, leadership, commitment and reliability, and report writing.
R&S in schools fosters childrens' self esteem, confidence and attitude towards community service.
